Donations to Tucson School for the Blind
A fiscal sponsor is an established nonprofit organization that provides administrative and financial oversight to a developing organization that has not yet received its own 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. Through a fiscal sponsorship, donations made to the developing organization can be accepted and managed under the sponsor’s nonprofit umbrella, allowing supporters to make tax-deductible contributions while the new organization completes the nonprofit application process.
At this time, Tucson School for the Blind is fiscally sponsored by Arts Harbor while the school works toward obtaining its own 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. This partnership allows Tucson School for the Blind to begin building programs, accepting donations, and serving the community with the support and oversight of an established nonprofit organization.
